About
I make the hard parts of building software feel easy.
I'm Maya, a software engineer based in Lisbon. For the last eight years I've worked at the seam between infrastructure and developer experience — the tooling that other engineers reach for without thinking about it.
I care about type safety, fast feedback loops, and interfaces that get out of the way. Most of my work lives at the edge: runtimes, bundlers, codegen, and the small primitives that make large systems tractable.
When I'm not shipping, I write about systems design and mentor engineers moving into platform work. I'm currently taking on a small number of consulting engagements.
